MADDRIM MINUTES [20/10/10]

Present: Katya, Ceidiog, Joe, Amy, Ian, (Chloe & Martin - late)

We learned how to ‘swish’ our hair courtesy of Pantene ProV and Cat Deeley. Unfortunately we couldn’t actually upload any videos to the website... sad times.

Chloe will be made to do sit-ups for her lateness.

Joe is being distracted by Facebook.
We discussed ‘The Social Network’ and how Ceidiog will invent a time machine and invent Facebook himself. As you can see... not much has been done so far.

DOWN TO BUSINESS!

Musical
Amy has a script idea for ‘The Musical High School.’ If there are no copyright issues then all will be well. Damn copyright issues.

There was a slight tangent involving glitter glue and Ceidiog’s love of felt. Moving swiftly on...
Note: Maddrim in dialect means great fun and joy. YAY!

Recruitment Drive
Posters in and around schools.
Ceidiog suggests “lying down mobs” “subliminal messages in adverts!”... yeah, em, NO!
Posters in Peerie Shop. Leaflets.
Hijacking the tannoy at the Anderson High.

[Owls who are possessed: Joe’s idea for Alternative Universe film. We really must be crazy.]

Bad News
We have not won a Shetland Youth Volunteer Award! D:

Brainstorming
We looked at last time’s minutes for reference. The idea for doing film reviews on various Garrison showings was well received unanimously. We thought about contacting ‘The Shetland Times’ or ‘iiShetland’ for a column. Maybe after some practise. Also a radio slot was a possibility.

A phone call from Martin interrupted us. He is paying us a visit!

Ian’s Film
Ian & Ceidiog have a plan of sorts.

Chloe came, and we didn’t make her do sit-ups. She suggested a new channel on YouTube for film reviews. This was a popular idea. :)

Note - We now refer to Ceidiog as Mr Distraction.

Martin arrived!

Uploading
We all agree our films need to be uploaded now. C’mon Chris! We need to buy an external hard drive so that back-up copies of films can be made for us to upload. (£700 in account - Joe raises eyebrow.)

Joe and Ceidiog ARE attending the Youth Volunteer Awards.

Good News
Emily Shaw and Barry Meheut of Youth Voice have organised a monthly feature for youth groups in ‘The Shetland Times.’ WHOO!

Also: Pre-recorded radio was a popular idea and a possibility as Radio Shetland are trying to increase youth listenership and participation.

♫ BBC Radio Joe! ♫

We need a gunge machine.

MV Awards
We need to backdate our hours so we can receive awards! Awards! Happyface!

On that happy note - Adieu!

Minutes written by Katya Moncrieff and typed by Joe Christie
