Minutes Wednesday 9th June 2010

Sandveien Neighbourhood Centre

Present: Joe, Ceidiog, Ian, Roseanne, Heather, Amy, Astrid, Katya and Aidan

We attempted the tangle game at the suggestion of Martin, but gave up moments later because it a) was difficult and b) didn’t tell us anything about anyone- which we all know is the aim of the game! So reverted to age old favourite- the name and fact game! Although rather grim facts were shared, some of which were less factual than others it was all in all successful!

We established that there IS a bank account which should contain some money from the Ann Cleeves Competition plus some other funds, Aidan will speak to Lorraine Halcrow or Chris Halcrow to find out the exact amount!

Martin will see about transferring our Youth Bank funding into the account once Aidan has forwarded him the bank account details.

Aidan will email Chris to get copies of the membership forms and details for Joe to hand out.

Joe will go to Hayfield House to get an application form from Michael Duncan for Shetland Arts Funding.

Joe and Ceidiog will also start organising a Screen Teas to raise funds- speak to Kathy/Islesburgh about the possibility of borrowing/hiring a screen and to halls where we can hold the teas- possibly Levenwick/Bigton or in town?

Toast has been filmed and Joe is looking in to finding a time to go in and edit at Shetland Arts, he might see if it would be possible to go in later on in the evening for an hour or two.

Martin has made a regular booking for Maddrim at Islesburgh from the 30th June every Wednesday 7-9. Until then we will continue meeting at Sandveien

Joe will keep working on his Prom film script.

Amy will write up a script for her idea for a musical mainly set in a school setting out the premises for each song, other members of the group will then work on the songs. Mhairi and Chris, it was noted, should make up a MATHS song/dance routine!

Amy will also edit her horror film script further for next week.

This weekend, Sat 11th, filming for Ian’s film ‘Demon of Mine’ will get started. Joe, Roseanne, Ian, Amy and Astrid will meet at 12pm on Sat outside Sandveien to do the exterior shots. Ian will pick up the equipment on Friday before 5pm and put it back on Monday from Shetland Arts.

After the Demon of Mine filming on Sat everyone will go on to film shots for Astrids short film. Anyone else thats free to come along and help feel free to join them! :)

Aidan will email Tim Bentley to see if he can do a workshop to show Roseanne and Mathew and anyone else interested to show them how to do the speedy up thing they will need for editing their films.

Aidan gave Ceidiog a lift home with a big bit of cardboard for the aeroplane machine thing film- after being instructed to pull in on the right next to the triangular shaped sign Aidan proceeded to stop next to a square sign and ask what the problem was! hilarity ensued.

I think that's everything!

I’m off on the boat tomorrow! So good luck everyone! Hopefully see you in July for some frantic film making! :)

Aidan
