An Offensive Meeting

Maddrim Minutes – 07/07/2010

The Most Inappropriate Meeting of All Time.

Present: Lorcan, Roseanne, Joe, Harry, Chris, Mhairi, Mathew, Cara, Heather

To kick off the meeting, instead of playing the tried and tested Name/Fact game we decided to tell inappropriate jokes. It went well. We discovered Lorcan straightens his hair, and that it turns into ringlets if he does not. D'aww.

Izzy Swanson is allowing us access to the Drama costumes at 2.30pm on Friday 9^th, where we will select a Prom dress and probably other props... Izzy has also offered to make a corsage. Thank you, Izzy!

There was a brief break as Mhairi choked on an egg roll. Then we discussed the progress of each film, and set dates for filming.

The Man Who's Always On Fire

Chris explained the plot, and Mhairi discussed her extensive research on pyrotechnics, which led to the conclusion that we would be using editing to achieve the effects, rather than 4 cylinders of oxygen (which will light someone on fire for a whole minute!)

Filming will take place on the Tuesday the 13^th July in Lerwick. Most characters have been cast. Remember to ask Kathy about possibly booking Studio 4 again.

Frozen

Filming will take place on Saturday the 17^th July at various locations in Lerwick (mainly the Knab). Remember to ask Chloe about filming at her house! Casting has been done.

Prom

Joe has written the script, which was sent out in a previous email. (At this point in the proceedings, Roseanne managed to get a bracelet stuck on her arm. She survived this ordeal with minimal psychological impact, as assessed by ME. Chris was unconcerned, and after more inappropriate remarks went to the toilet.) It was decided that for the prom scene, Harry will be in drag. Most casting has been done, but still need to find teen heartthrob. Filming will take place on Tuesday 20^th July at the Sandwick school, and possibly at Martha's house in the evening. As many people as possible must attend, as the prom needs lots of extras!

Everybody Dies

Lorcan explained that the main cast has been chosen, and filming will probably take place during evenings when the cast are free.

Aviation

Props still needed include flying machine, pilot goggles and blueprints. Possibility of making some this weekend, weather permitting.

So Conceptual

Video art, Louise acting and Joe filming, directed by Harry. Harry is working on storyboarding at the moment. Filming will take place on Friday 16^th July.

Autumn Leaves

Plot has been written, and Joe is working on the script. Will be filmed on Monday 19^th July, and need to set a date for creating the artwork, woo!

Alternative endings and alternative universe films were discussed, more inappropriateness occurred, and finally we all wended our weary ways to the bus. FIN.
